Landing in London

Oh yeah baby! I’m in London!

After few trips to Europe, finally landing in London.

I always wanted to go here and always thought that I’d love this city!
Yeah, I was not wrong  = D

Well, I usually know if I’ll love a city pretty soon (landing - first impression).

Everything went very well, very simply (like, ok, I’ve been here b4 and know everything hahaha), and I feel quickly that this was one of my favorite cities. I think that is my favorite! I’m feeling that I love that “I’ve lived here”, “I feel so comfortable and people are so cool”, just as occurred when I was in NL.

I think now is GB/UK & NL  where I really really really liked!

No wonder that the British have a reputation of “British humor”. They are great, love it, I laugh a lot. It’s a casualness and lightness that, incidentally, should always bear in our lives.

Well, I had everything written down about what to do when we arrive. I was and I’m  amazed with the organization and awith ll information that there in your face. And, of course, people being so gentle, sweet helping.

We looked for the Underground, as soon as we took our bags, to catch the Piccadillly line.

Here in London, at least in the hotel we’re in, leave the airport via Underground is alright, even with bags and the “trip fatigue” of a journey about 12hs.
Moreover, is an alternative  very cheap (£ 2.80) and is comfortable.

We ended up getting the Oyster right there (we put a credit for one week, covering zones 1 & 2, which are the most important and you definitely will spend the time). The £ 2.80 more were to leave the area 6 (which covers Heathrow Airport) to arrive at a zone 1- central - but may not be need it, I am here wondering if I needed for real, hehe. But anyways, after it has reimbursement anyway, so whatever.)

The route from the airport to our station Piccadilly Circus took an average of 1 hour (14h - 15h). Switched to the Bakerloo and two stations were already on ours: Lambeth.
Very easy. I love London! hehe

To arrive at the hotel was also very simple, 2 minutes we were up there, hahahaha. I still had the google maps to make it even easier :)

The Hotel is very cute, very well located, beautiful, clean, the front desk staff is also super sweet. The room is also great. London is giving its welcome. : D

We decided then walk and explore surroundings. We went to the Imperial War Museum, which is really close. I was surprised by the size of tanks and pumps. There I felt the real grandeur of the Great Wars, of the terrorism. It was scary too.

From there we went to St. George’s (was in front).
We continued walking towards the London Eye, which was already possible to see between the buildings. We admired the way things were close to one another. Every step we took, was an icon, a great reference that we knew.

We walked around and continued walking until we decide to dine. We chose to eat at the bar&grill Arch One, which is directly opposite Waterloo Station.

What a nice place! Very modern, with a very interesting architecture, playlist playing on the background and many beautiful people. The men were so handosme! Okay, I love this country more and more!

The food was delicious. We ordered salmon with potato and salad. Yummy!
Plus, a Guinness :) Cheers

To finish veeery well: a big chocolate mousse.

The waiter asked where we were, because of the accent. He was from Russia.  Pretty cool. I has already noticed how much people from elsewhere in the world live in London, making it a cosmopolitan city.

We continue our walk toward the hotel already. Midway a girl asked us directions to Lambeth station. By coincidence, we arrived by there, then I could help her. Felt so London girl :D hahahahaha even giving right coordinates for the people.

Yeah, I’m loving this city.
Maybe living here in the near future? ^ ^

Milan » Amsterdam » Rotterdam

Long day!

We woke up early to prepare for the flight to Amsterdam.
Breakfast at the hostel was very good and we had fun. I ate some croissants, hot chocolate, cookies, ate, ate, because the day was long and heavy (carrying bags and more bags hehe).

The hostel was also full of English, who were warming up for the big game today MANCHESTER UNITED X AC MILAN o /
We talked a lot and laughing. Sometimes, like this moment, Im in a situation where the two teams I love and support! I have to choose one that makes my heart beat more and more…. hm, Manu, Mil, Manu, Mil ….

After the breakfeast, we close our bags and called a taxi to take us to the Central Station, which is where there is a bus that takes you to Malpensa Airport.
Our luck was to get there and have a pay package that was 3 for 15 Euros. Just one would be 7.50 Euros. It looks sort of us being in three! hehe

The bus is very pleasant, radio on, slow song in the background (actually, I heard for the 2,324,312,247 time a song that I do not know who sings it! Seems Death Cab For Cutie, is equal to the voice of Ben Gibbard! Hehe). Anyway, I will find, probably checking The 100 Top of the week’s 3FM Nederland! :D

Well, this trip from Central Station to Malpensa airport takes about 1 hour and if your flight is by EasyJet, you have to stop at the first stop: at Terminal 1.

Once there, check in is super quiet, different from the Ryan Air check in, especially because you can bring a bag with 20kg!

After that, we went to lunch, because we know that the flight has no lunch service as other flights ….
We ate a sandwich with salami, cheese, delicious. Coca Cola, chocolate …
Talk here, talk there, time to embark. Shit! A huge queue for boarding!  Certain fear of perhaps lose the flight, since we had 30 minutes to the flight and has a queue with, hm, almost 100 people b4 us? And you see people taking out almost everything to go to the boarding area :/

After the scare, we are at boarding area. Good, but as usual, Easyjet flights are delayed, then we needed to wait for about 30 minutes there in the hallway that connects the plane.

But it was fun, there were three Italians who were a joke, and lovely. One had the exactly face of a friend of mine, dutch one. You know when you think someone is similar to other one? But then you think, look at the language that he/ she’s talking! Look where that person is haha. It’s just coincidence …..

Well, flying was fun, happy mood, I read the journal of easyJet, and found that there is a bus that goes to Orly airport (haha, yes, I’m focused for when I be in Paris!). And this bus is very cheap. Look this, while last year I paid 16.50 Euros by
Air France bus to go   to the Charles de Gaulle, this is only 6.40 Euros! WOOHOO, 10 Euros more in Paris hihihihi!

Good but let us now focus right now!

The journey lasts about 2h30. We’re arriving …. HAS SUN IN AMSTERDAM! How wonderful! What a miracle!

Oh, my dear and sweet Netherland, see it from the plane is beautiful too. All channels, some mills …. I felt coming home! Was
a cool and magical moment. Well,  I just have a huge affection for the Netherlands. And I am very happy to be returning after a year. When I was in Brazil seemed an eternity to arrive February, but now, I think it went up fast, here I am again. I am touched, really: p

Well, Schiphol is the airport I fell in love. The other one also I liked was of Barcelona,  but
Schiphol has more movement, stores, whatever, I felt more at home. Until then it’s my favorite airport! Arrivals and departures I’ll make here! At least I know that I’ll do if I spend hours waiting for my flight (the lisbon airport is a punishment, you have nothing to do, just keep watching the screen of the flights!).

Well, there we bought a ticket from the airport by train to Rotterdam, since our first visit will be there after we go back to Amsterdam, then I come back to Rotterdam…..ok, Netherlands is small, can afford to do that hehe.

Something unusual happened, but was cool. Obviously, we caught the train was not that basic yellowing with blue, hehe, we just take one better, very fast, in 15 minutes we were at the central station of Rotterdam. While we were there, we paid 7 Euros more for this difference. It was worth. The train was super comfortable and come in 15 minutes (!!!!).

Dark at dusk, but you can see that today was a beautiful day, sunny Holland. Awesome!
Well, then we took a subway and go to the house of my friend Nicolas. If  we caught another train, we would stop in a station near of his house (Alexander), but nothing is so perfect. You take 15 minutes, but then need to take a subway. Still certainly worth it. Much better. Without also having to keep changing trains (which sometimes is necessary).

Nicolas was waiting for us in the stopped and has asked if we had dinner. He prepared a dinner for all of us and then we went to see some friends at the CS Meeting.
Very nice to review some of my friends like Ursel, Raymond. I’ve met other super cool person, Hanzel and few other that right now I do not remember the names. : S

I already sent messages to some friends that I had promised to warn once I arrived in Holland.

My feeling on arriving in Rotterdam was: wow, it seems like yesterday that I was here, how nice to be back! I love this city! And already some review on the first day is wonderful! Already combining to see ourselves, having fun. You see, It’s why I feel at home here, I have really big, good friends.

After that day very crowded and busy, we went home. What to do tomorrow? Let’s plan my friends!

By the way, AC MILAN lost  ->  3 x 2
