Hey baby, it’s Sunday!
My friend invited me to go celebrate the Chinese New Year in Chinatown.
It’s what we did today, among other things, of course.
The celebration could be seen in various corners of the city, with red balloons and many other decorations. In Trafalgar Square where it was focused concerts and many other activities of this event.
Well, before we met up, I went with my mother to the Jubilee Market, Covent Garden Market. Very cool! There are many things to buy. Plus, there are events, concerts, street performances for free … pretty excited.
The shops, a paradise, we were all there getting crazy. I bought many chocolates, teas (imagine that not, right?), cookies ….. yummy! We went to a shop of soaps/ creams, a paradise. The salesman asked if I wanted to plunge my hands in a bowl with a soap powder which melted in warm/ hot water. You should see us, was really cool.MY GOD, you feel wonderful, very relaxing! It was awesome!
We continued our walk through Covent Garden towards Trafalgar.
Halfway through Chinatown step! OH MY GOD! I think all China was there, it was impossible to move, walk. We entered a street which simply could not move, even gave a certain dread, because we could not go anywhere o.O
Anyway, was great, I loved being there and celebrating the new year’s with all of them.
Just one thing, go to Trafalgar to meet with my friend was impossible. So we arranged to meet at the National Portrait Gallery.
Well, I met up with my friend and her boyfriend and then she took me to a wonderful store of materials for design, Cass Art London. You get crazy there, has many materials (paints, paper, pens, crayons ….. in infinite kinds. I found my favorite pens, Letraset Promarkers and I bought a pack with 6. Oh, and you know what is better? They were on sale I paid only £ 6.50. \o/
From there we decided to pick a place for lunch, was already 16:30 and we had not eaten anything o.O
We found an Italian restaurant called Sartori. Wow, what a paradise. We ordered a pasta carbonara which was delicious. Best Italian pasta I ate in my entire life. Everything was for £ 9,50 - an entrance - that would choose among other options, hence a pasta (a lot of) + Italian beer.
Well, there was also a very pleasant, the waiters were very much kind (I can’t deny theirs origin!). Needless to comment on how they were happy to know that we were also Brazilian and Italian.
Once there walk around the neighborhood, we already start to see that the end of the party was approaching, it was possible to walk through streets. Trafalgar was already extremely quiet. Were dismantling the stage and cleaning up.
End of day.
Cheers o/
